Feeling like you need a Detox? This creamy Arugula Smoothie is a life Saver!
Green Smoothie … Arugula Smoothie … Detox Smoothie …?
I can’t decide.
Ok, whatever … Green Arugula Detox Smoothie. It’s just all three.
I’m not gonna lie. I will become completely clean right now.
I’ve never really loved smoothie so unconditionally. Never really been that person who makes a favorite smoothie every morning and sip it in a car on a way to work. (that’s what I saw in England in a bus to Manchester thru a window. A woman in a car sipping such a nice red – pinky color smoothie in a very nice jar – like: Wooo, look at that fancy jar! while she was waiting on traffic lights.) And I thought: Woo, that’s Cool!!
I know it’s a normal, daily, non-special thing. But for me at that moment it was just so cool to see that woman driving and sipping a smoothie on her way to work I guess.
Remember when I said that smoothies were not really my thing?
Well, this smoothie changed that. This specific ARUGULA DETOX SMOOTHIE almost changed my life. And I’m saying that with a complete pride and satisfaction. Oh, and happiness of course.
The last days or weeks have been a little hard for me. Especially for my body. I haven’t felt quite healthy and fit. And not eating so healthy food wasn’t just the only reason. There were more reasons. It was this our big situation with our living and jobs and yady yady yada … I don’t wanna get you all covered up in this. So my body was filling very weak – fragile -unhealthy – kind of thing. And most of what I’ve recognized is that my body was so over hydrated. (I don’t even know how to explain that.) My body was just filled with too much water and the important thing, in that case, is that your body should get rid of it. But my body didn’t. And that’s also my own fault because I was eating too many salty things lately. I felt like a huge water balloon. And I wasn’t really happy about it. So I said to myself: Enough. I have to stop this. I can’t go on like this. It’s just not right.
So I started googling, searching looking for some solutions, mostly for what kind of food would help my body to get rid of that water. And I found some. A lot actually.
Just in case that you having the same problem as I did, there are few foods that would really really help you:
- arugula (see that smoothie down here?)
- Root vegetables: parsley, carrots, celery …
- Tea: nettle, Casuarina, birch leaves …
- water, water, water … drinking lots of water!
- And of course: lot’s of movement and sports, sauna, massages, Lymph care …
And in a meanwhile don’t forget:
- NO salty meals
- NO animal proteins
- NO cheese products
- and of course NO salt!
And of course, I was not eating any salt for a while. The longer time the better. Because eating too much salt is the main and biggest reason that the water is stuck in my body. And also, I blame myself for loving salty things a little too much. Well ok, Too Much.
So that’s why: ARUGULA Detox Smoothie. One of the biggest help for my body screaming: Help!Help! See that Big Arugula? Yep, that’s right 😉
Oh, I almost forgot!! It tastes DELICIOUS!! Really. No kidding. After this smoothie, I will have to considerate the facts about smoothies.
