Hey, foodies…it’s a long time that I’m sharing vegan dishes recipes in my blog and the blog received huge respect and love from you.
I got a lot of emails that suggest to me, that I should also include some Asian cuisines in my blog like Indian, Pakistani spicy and traditional food and yes non-vegetarian too….
At first, I thought no..no..only vegetarian dishes… but later I changed my mind that food and our traditional cuisine connect us with each other’s culture and give us a chance to know it, so I wrote in my blog Decided to add a new category called “Asian Recipes”, in which I introduced some famous short and easy traditional Indian and Pakistani recipes.
Well, I am not an expert in the art of non-vegetarian food or know much about Asian cuisine, so I hired a guest blogger to write for my blog.
So, in this Asian recipes series first I shared a very famous Indian dish “Chicken Shish Kebab” the recipe is a very famous non-vegetarian chicken dish and famous in India and Pakistan. In this series, I’ll share with you some amazing non-veg, sweet and dessert, and spicy curries recipes. All recipes are very easy and short

Chicken Shish Kebab Recipe
Chicken shish kebab is a very popular dish in India. And now you are able to prepare these wonderful tasty chicken shish kebabs at home, and it’s super easy too! Serve them in a traditional nan with some chutney for a full Indian experience.
How to Make Chicken Shish Kebab
Chicken Shish KebabPrint Recipe
- 2 pounds chicken (minced)
- 1 cup leeks (finely chopped)
- ½ cup fresh basil
- 1 teaspoon ground dried coriander
- 1 teaspoon cumin seeds
- 1 teaspoon dried pomegranate seeds
- Salt as needed
- Black pepper as needed
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 tablespoon gram flour
- 1 egg
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
Take chicken mince in a bowl and add dried coriander, egg, cumin seeds, salt, black pepper, dried pomegranate seeds, basil, leeks, gram flour and paprika. Mix well until all the ingredients are fully incorporated and properly mixed. Make it a smooth mixture with both hands without lumps of mutton.
Now take skewers and arrange the chicken mixture over them, arrange lengthwise of about 3 to 4 inches in length and neither too thick and nor too thin in diameter. Arrange like seekh kebabs.
Preheat the grill at high then pat little water and oil onto the kebabs and start grilling. The water and oil will help to keep them moist and not dry in texture. Grill for about 4 to 5 minutes on one side or until the kebabs are golden brown then change the side and again grill for 4 to 5 minutes.
When ready, take out in a serving dish and garnish with chopped parsley. Serve the kebabs with your favorite rice or with traditional Indian nan and enjoy.
