Another week of still sunny days. Although I hate to say this but, I’m actually starting to feel that the summer is almost over. And I say that with a huge tear in my eye. But. Barbeques are not over yet. Right? Cause I have some delicious Smoked – Gourmet – Potatoes with Tofu, grilled seasonings (and much more) here for you.
And now you can start drooling. No worries. Here is drooling allowed at all time.
GOURMET POTATOES WITH TOFU. Whenever we had a barbeque with my family, those Gourmet Potatoes were A MUST for our barbeques. Our barbeques were just like any typical barbeques: sausages (although we do use a bit different ones than I normally see at British barbeques. Not sure about America), grilled meat, potatoes in embers with butter and salt (do you guys have that?). And we end the barbeque with Gourmet Potatoes. We leave them for the end of the barbeque when the fire is almost just an ember. They don’t need a big fire.
They are baking by themselves above the fire ember in an aluminium folie. When they are ready you open the aluminium folie and you are covered by smoky – grilled – gourmet – tofu – potatoes smell. Which is sooo amazing!
If you have a chance to make them at a barbeque above a fire I definitely recommend this way. But if you don’t have a chance to make them on a fire you can just use your oven at home. I promise they will be delicious either way.
Gourmet Potatoes With TofuPrint Recipe
- 800 - 1kg Potatoes
- 5-6 big Mushrooms
- 150g Tofu
- 160g Marinated Tofu pieces (doesn't have to be)
- 2pc, Green Bell Pepper
- 1/4 cup Olive Oil
- 1 medium Onion
- 3 cloves Garlic
- 3-4 tsp. Smoked Paprika
- 3-4 tsp. Grilled Chicken/Potatoes Seasoning
- 1-2 tsp. Salt
Preheat an oven to 390 degrees.
Prepare yourself two or three bowls. One bowl per serving. Cut an aluminium folie into a size of two baking sheets. Fold it in half and put it into a bowl by making a bowl shape. Make the same with other bowls.
Wash, pill and cut the potatoes into small. (The best are young small potatoes. You don't have to pill them, just wash them and cut them in half.) Cut the tofu, onion and peppers into similar pieces like potatoes. Cut the garlic cloves into thin slices.
Add everything into a big bowl. Add all the remaining ingredients into a bowl and gently mix everything. You can also use your hands. Spoon the mixed potatoes into the bowls with aluminium. Fold the aluminium folie so that all potatoes are completely covered.
Place the aluminium bags with potatoes on a baking sheet and put them in the oven. Let them bake for about 40-45 minutes. After 40-45 minutes take the potatoes out. Open the aluminium folie and put them back in the oven for another 10 minutes. When the potatoes are fork tender and well baked you can take them out and Enjoy.
Those potatoes are best for a barbeque and well baked above a little fire. If you having a barbeque and want those potatoes just put them on a grill or above a fire. They will be a little smoked and delicious.
