5 Ingredient Spelt Flour Bread – Simple and Easy

When it comes to bread I’m very careful. Well, at least I’m trying to be. And I try not to eat bread very often. Not every day like people in my family are used to. Or some other people too. I don’t blame them. No.
But when I want a bread for breakfast once in a while, I try to eat the best one and the healthiest one. Now, that doesn’t mean that I do every time. But I’m trying.
And it did.
I was making that Spelt flour bread like 4 times in a row. I loved it. My boyfriend loved it. My parents loved it (which we are currently living with. Don’t judge). Yeeey, awesome!
And you know what else I loved?
I really loved and enjoyed baking that Spelt flour bread. I really did! Because it was so easy and quick to make. And it was just all about:
- add all the ingredients into one bowl (easy peasy)
- mix them all together
- transfer the mixture to the bread loaf pan
- bake, bake, bake …
Isn’t it just great to bake your own bread?
You know what ingredients you’re putting inside. It’s made by you. It’s fresh, good smelling, still warm and crispy right from the oven. And the best of all: You don’t have to run to the grocery at 8 pm to quickly buy a bread because that’s what you were planning to eat for breakfast. Your plan would be ruined and you would have to change it. Because let’s face it. Who likes to go shop for a bread at 8 pm when you are already showered in your pajamas comfortably sitting on a couch when your favorite movie is about to start? I hate it.
Most of the times I would figure out something else for breakfast without bread. Because what can you do if you are out of bread?
Well, there’s a solution for that. You don’t have to run to the grocery for bread. No, no. All it takes is a 5 to 10 minutes to mix all the 4-5 ingredients for the bread together and your oven will do the rest for you. And you will have your own baked, delicious and healthy bread waiting for you for breakfast.
Spelt Flour BreadPrint Recipe
- 14 ounces (400g) whole wheat Spelt Flour
- 14 ounces (400g) Greek Yogurt
- 1 tsp Baking Soda
- 1 tsp Salt
- ½ tsp Sugar
- ½ cup Water
- Any kind of Seeds as desire (pumpkin, sunflower seeds, flax seeds … )
Preheat the oven to 360 degrees (180 ºC)
Gently mix all the ingredients together with a wooden spoon until well combined.
Prepare the bread loaf pan with baking sheet and pour in the bread dough. You can spread some of the seeds over the top.
Bake it for about 40-45 minutes.
After the bread is baked very gently take the bread out from the pan pooling by the sides of the baking sheet.
The bread can last outside for about 1-2 days. If you keep him in the fridge packed in a bag it will last longer.
