Who doesn’t like bacon? Even most vegetarians I know say they enjoy the smell of it sizzling on a hot skillet. I love bacon on pretty much anything–burgers, cookies, wrapped around dates. What I think takes the cake, though, is candied bacon.
That savory and sweet combination leaves me reaching for more. Some people use brown sugar, but I like the natural sweetness of honey—-hence, Baked Honey-Glazed Bacon was born in my kitchen.
Will Bacon Still Be Crispy If You Bake It?
Yeah, of course! The trick here is to bake it at a high enough temperature and place it on a wire rack with a baking sheet underneath so it can cook from all sides.
This also allows extra grease from the bacon to fall onto the baking pan, so the strips aren’t swimming in fat (BONUS: it’s healthier!).
If you’ve never baked bacon, trust me on this one–it’s really good.
